I just realized yesterday evening that the Olympics are starting tonight. This makes me a very happy lady since I love watching the Olympics especially the summer games! I decided to invite family over for an opening ceremony get-together and decided to make an Olympic themed dessert. I found a recipe for chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting and added M&Ms to make the design.
I was rather unsatisfied with the assortment of colors in my bag of M&Ms. There hardly any red and brown and way too many orange ones! Oh well, I had enough to make my design. I think it turned out pretty decent for an impromptu dessert despite my sad cupcake decorating skills!
I’m most excited to get to watch the gymnastics as that’s always been my favorite sport, and they hardly ever air it on local channels anymore.
What sport are you excited to watch?
This is so creative! I always liked the gymnastics best, but don’t know that we’ll get to watch any this year since we don’t have TV.

The only part of the Olympics that I have ever really cared about is the gymnastics. When I was a kid, I was absolutely mesmerized by them and would sit and watch them for hours, and then get disappointed when it was over. I didn’t watch the opening ceremony, I never do, but I do like your cupcakes, and I hope they were delicious!
