Small Concept Review and a Giveaway!

I’m excited to bring you a review and another giveaway from Small Concept! You may remember Small Concept sponsored the Sunsational Summer event not too long ago. I promised a review, and here it is!

Small Concept is an online boutique specializing in high quality and adorable fashions for expecting mamas and little ones. They also carry toys, diapers, gear, and accessories. I love that I can find some of my favorite brands like Thristies and Tea Collection there as well as discover new brands to outfit my little guy. We chose the adorable Knuckleheads Bucket Hat to review.

Angelo has a pretty large head so he needed a size large instead of the age recommended medium. Needing a size larger than normal is pretty typical for Angelo in the hat department so I think the Knuckleheads hat does run true to size for most children. The size large fits perfectly though!

I like that the brim is long enough so that it shades his neck and eyes from the sun, but is short enough that he can see. This hat is lined with a dark grey inside and has a fun lighter grey plaid outer. It is made of a cotton blend fabric, and feels like a flannel on the outside and a lighter cotton twill on the inside so your kiddos head stays cool. Angelo really seems to like it. I typically have to constantly remind him to keep his hat on if he wants to play outdoors since he sheds it as soon as I’m not looking. With this hat, he asks me to put it on him, and does a pretty good job of keeping it on most of the time. I like that he’s able to put it on by himself as well. He’s getting to the age where he wants to do things by himself so it’s nice that he’s able to easily.
 

 
This hat is holding up to the wear and tear of a toddler very well so far despite multiple dips in the pool and dirt. I think he’ll grow out of the hat long before the hat wears out. I also love that it’s a bit darker so if it gets dirty it’s not super noticeable. The print is pretty trendy too.

Small Concept was founded by Julie, a mother and grandmother who decided to leave her steady job of 12 years to become a business owner. She wanted to shift her focus to something she was passionate about, and discovered she had a passion for children and wanted to start “A boutique born from the love of children”. Small Concept strives to provide high quality products along with excellent customer service which I experienced first hand. When the first hat Julie sent me was too small for Angelo, she sent me a larger one and instead of having me return the too-small hat; she suggested we give it away!
