I’m pretty sure I saw this recipe originally on “The Doctors” tv show a year or so ago. I love it! It’s tasty and mostly healthy too. I made it quite often when I needed a little extra boost when I was nursing the little guy full time. Since it uses Greek yogurt it’s full of protein!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of plain Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup of frozen fruit (I used blueberries, pears, and strawberries)
1/4 cup of walnuts or almonds (or whatever nut you like!)
chocolate chips – use your discretion I probably put too many in because I’m a bit of a chocoholic
I also put in some spinach 1/4 or 1/2 cup
I usually put the chocolate chips and nuts in the blender first for a bit then add everything else and blend until mostly smooth. Top with whipped cream if you like and enjoy!

I love Greek yogurt! I will have to try this!
We LOVE smoothies around my house. Great way to sneak in some extra nutrition for the kiddos
Thanks for sharing, I’m going to give your recipe a try for sure.
Yum! So there is actually spinach in that glass? Is the 1/4-1/2 cup per serving? As long as I can hide the green I think I can get my husband to eat this. Thanks so much for sharing with Delicious Dish Tuesday
Yes! There is spinach in there! I think the blueberries help hide the green. I usually just add a handful of spinach to a batch.
MM! Is the spinach so little a serving that you can’t taste it? Looks healthy and yummy! =)
