Baby Beduga Review

I’m always on the lookout for affordable quality pocket diapers. Not just for my own stash- I like to give cloth diapers as baby shower gifts to friends who cloth diaper, and I love to get “more for my dollar” whenever possible.  Baby Beduga offers some of the most affordable prices for pocket diapers, liners, inserts, wipes, and wet bags I’ve seen around at just $7.50 for a solid color pocket diaper and $8.50 for a wet bag with a front zipper and handle. The only wet bags I’ve found for less than that were drawstring closure (not my favorite).

How did I like it? First of all, considering the $7.50 price I expected a very simply packaged diaper. I was pleasantly surprised as the Baby Beduga diaper came with a pretty ribbon and brand logo sticker on the front which would be perfect for gift giving. I received the Cocoa Pocket Diaper which made me happy as I really like chocolate brown. The diaper is a pretty standard cut and features three rise settings, hip snaps (very important for fit for my little guy), crossover snaps, polyester micro-fleece lining to wick away moisture, one microfiber insert, and fits approximately 7-40 lbs.

It fit my 32 pound toddler well with one more rise setting to go and with room to spare in the waist. The leg elastic fit perfectly with no gaping or elastic marks. We’ve had no leaks with day time use. As with any pocket diaper, I would recommend purchasing an additional insert if you are planning to use it for overnight. The micro-fleece lining wicked well and kept moisture off Angelo’s skin. It also is holding up well with no pilling.

I think the Baby Beduga pocket diaper is a great basic pocket diaper with all the must-have features on my list at a great price. I would not hesitate to purchase more if/when we have another child, or recommend them to a friend looking to stay on budget. Pocket diapers are one of my “must haves” for using cloth while on-the-go so I keep a decent stash of them. You can choose from solids or prints some of which are also minky. Prints are only 50 cents more at $8 per diaper including minky. Shipping is a flat $5 per order.

Baby Beduga is owned by a work-at-home-mom of two who decided to make the switch to cloth with her second child and ended up starting  a business helping others do the same. Baby Beduga’s goal is “Helping one-income families afford high-quality diapers” which I think is pretty great. One of the biggest concerns I had when starting cloth diapering was how much I had to spend up-front. With Baby Beduga you can get 13 diapers for around $100!

I prefer to use front zip wet bags as I find they are easier to open and close quickly
