Baby Babü Review and Giveaway

If you’ve looked into cloth diapers much at all you know that there are several types of diapers to choose from. It can get rather overwhelming for a new mama trying to decide which ones to choose for her stash. I highly recommend purchasing at least a few pocket diapers for when you are out-and-about as they are much more convenient for on-the-go diaper changes than prefolds/covers yet cheaper than all-in-ones. Baby Babü has a great selection of affordable pocket diapers to choose from, and they come with some extra features many other brands don’t. They also carry all-in-ones, prefolds, covers, and biodegradable disposable diapers as well as cloth diapering accessories.

Baby Babü sent us their Rodeo Brand Fuzzy one-size pocket diaper fitting from 8-35+ pounds. This diaper is indeed fuzzy with a super soft minky outer and a soft wicking inner liner. It features three snaps on each tab including a hip snap which helps with customizing the fit to your little one. Extra features include: double gussets to hold in leaky blowouts and two insert openings (one on each end) so the insert agitates out in the wash. -Read: no pulling used inserts out of an icky diaper- There is a snap in the front of the diaper and insert so the insert stays in place while your little one is wearing the diaper. The included insert is 3 layer microfiber.

While the Rodeo Brand print isn’t my top choice, I absolutely love the way the minky outer of this diaper feels! It’s one of the softest that we currently own. I found the included insert to be absorbent enough to last through nap time. (We didn’t try night time as Angelo barely makes it through a night with a hugely stuffed fitted and wool cover.) I do like the fit of this diaper. The snaps are placed so that you can really get a good fit even on a toddler. I’ve been having a harder time getting a good fit with many of our diapers recently as Angelo has gotten taller but has skinny legs. The result has been a few leaks. I haven’t had any leaks at all with the Baby Babü pocket diaper. If you have a very chunky toddler you may have some issues with the waist being large enough, but it fits Angelo very well.

The double gussets seem to work well stopping leaks. I feel like this feature would be most beneficial for tiny breast fed babies who have runny poo. I remember having lots of trouble with side gusset leaking with some of my single gusset diapers so I think new mamas could really appreciate the double gusset power of this diaper.

All of my other pocket diapers require me to reach in and pull out the used insert before dropping them in the laundry bin. Sometimes this is an easy affair and others it’s downright icky. I do love that I don’t have to pull the insert out of this diaper. It did indeed agitate out in the wash without fail.

I can recommend Baby Babü pocket diapers as a great addition to anyone’s new or growing stash! With the extra features like double gussets and not needing to pull out the insert before washing you would expect this diaper to retail for much more than $11.99. The diaper fits well, holds in leaks well, and feels nice on baby’s skin. In short, it’s a great diaper for a great price.
